From Eater LV, 2/26/19 CAESARS PALACE — Vanderpump Cocktail Garden plans to open on April 6. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump has been previewing the food and drinks at her West Hollywood restaurant Tom Tom. She describes the cocktail garden as equal parts lounge and restaurant, with a heavy rosé influence on the drinks menu. Previewed drinks include the Booze Hound with Stoli hot vodka, Chacho jalapeño vodka, grapefruit liqueur, pineapple, bitters, vanilla citrus, and pink peppercorns; the Giggy Tonic; and Macha Macha Man with Vanderpump vodka, matcha, and fresh mint. Tuna tacos made with a plantain shell and caviar topped spicy salmon cones are just some of the dishes. Diners walk into a liquor storefront with bar stools for grabbing quick bites or picking up swag. Customers then head into the main dining room through a pink plastic freezer door to find a bar to the right. The dining room in bright colors almost vibrates with its rainbow hues. Plants hang from the ceiling, and a mural from Los Angeles artist Phung Huynh adorns one wall. A deejay booth spotlighting LA artists takes over one wall. Customers can request the private dining room or try to get the kitschy chef’s table in the kitchen. Already, Best Friend kicked off Record Shop Thursdays with top local and Los Angeles DJs as they spin an eclectic mix of vinyl records during dinner service from 8 p.m. to midnight. And before and after every Vegas Golden Knights game, Best Friend offers a $10 menu of spicy cold noodles, kimchi fried rice, A-frame OG ribs, three tacos, and elote.
